Overview

Atomsized provides AWS platform engineering, GitOps, and related consulting services. We handle personal information only where it is needed to operate this website, respond to enquiries, protect the site, and discuss or deliver requested services.

Please do not send passwords, credentials, private keys, production data, regulated data, or confidential architecture through the public contact form. A private exchange can be agreed before sensitive project material is shared.

Information we handle

Information you provide

The contact form asks for your name, work email address, project details, and, optionally, your company name. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and the information you include in the message.

Technical information

When you access the site, hosting and network providers may process technical request data such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, performance data, and security events. This information supports delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

How we use information

• Respond to your enquiry and understand the platform outcome you are considering.
• Arrange conversations and prepare a proposed scope or next step.
• Operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
• Maintain records needed for an active or prospective business relationship.
• Meet applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell personal information or use contact-form content for advertising profiles.

Cookies and browser storage

Atomsized does not use advertising or marketing cookies. Optional Google Analytics cookies are used only after consent. The website also uses the browser-storage, cookie-free analytics, and security technologies listed below. Cloudflare may set cookies that are necessary to deliver or protect the website when a visitor is presented with a security challenge.

Theme preferenceFirst-party local storage / atomsized-editorial-theme

Purpose

Remembers whether you selected the light or dark colour theme. The preference is read in your browser and is not used to identify you or sent to Atomsized.

Duration

Until you change the theme or clear this website's data in your browser.

Cloudflare Web AnalyticsCookie-free analytics beacon

Purpose

Provides aggregate page-view and performance information so we can understand whether the website is working well. It does not receive contact-form field values.

Duration

No analytics identifier is stored in your browser. The beacon runs when a page loads; Cloudflare controls the retention of resulting aggregate analytics under its service settings and terms.

Analytics preferenceFirst-party local storage / atomsized-analytics-consent

Purpose

Remembers whether you allowed optional Google Analytics. The preference prevents the Google tag from loading when analytics is rejected and can be changed through Cookie settings in the footer.

Duration

Until you change the preference or clear this website's data in your browser.

Google AnalyticsOptional first-party cookies / _ga and _ga_<measurement-id>

Purpose

After consent, measures page journeys, contact calls to action, and successful enquiry submissions. Contact-form field values are never sent to analytics.

Duration

Up to two years, with expiry potentially refreshed by later activity. The site attempts to remove these cookies when analytics consent is withdrawn.

Cloudflare TurnstileSingle-use security token / optional cf_clearance cookie

Purpose

Checks contact-form submissions for automated abuse using technical and interaction signals. A clearance cookie is used only when Cloudflare's challenge or pre-clearance configuration requires it.

Duration

The Turnstile token is single-use and expires after five minutes. Any optional cf_clearance cookie lasts for the Cloudflare Challenge Passage period configured for the site and may be invalidated sooner.

You can change optional analytics consent through Cookie settings in the footer, or clear local storage and cookies through your browser settings. Removing a necessary Cloudflare security cookie may cause the browser to be challenged again. Rejecting optional analytics does not affect access to the website or contact form.

Service providers and sharing

Information may be processed by suppliers that help host, secure, monitor, or deliver the website and its contact enquiries. They receive only the information needed to provide their service. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect rights or systems, or in connection with a business reorganisation where appropriate safeguards apply.

Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and performs the Turnstile security check. SMTPfast delivers successful contact enquiries by email and processes the form fields and delivery metadata needed for that purpose.

Google provides optional website analytics after a visitor grants consent. Google may receive technical, device, page, and interaction information needed to provide that service, but does not receive contact-form field values from this website's analytics implementation.

Some providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their handling of that information is governed by their terms, privacy commitments, and applicable transfer safeguards.

Retention and security

Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage a possible or active business relationship, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Technical records may be retained for shorter operational and security periods by the relevant service provider.

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so sensitive project material should be shared only through an agreed private channel.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to contact your local data protection authority.

This policy may be updated when the website, its suppliers, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be published on this page and the date above will be updated.
